And worth a listen in my opinion…..

Ryan Bradford – Ryan Bradford EP : Ryan does a fine job with this – I perhaps have a soft spot for simple, well produced songs done in a basement studio, as this is how I produced my CD as well. No quality is lost in the result when you’re listening to Ryan’s effort here. A true pearl.

Conner And Miller – Hillsville 1912 : Aptly titled, this Appalachian folk offering might have been plucked right out of that time, and I gotta tell you – it is a joy to listen to. Quality music played well just never gets old, and this is some of the best…a real treat. Check it out.

Lee England Jr. – Something Everyone Can Understand : Lee has really done something interesting here – mixing a soulful violin into cuts both original and traditional, he weaves a very listenable and likeable CD that you can just listen to again and again. Enjoyable sounds.

And worth a listen in my opinion…..

Merethe Soltvedt – Audio Charm Bracelet: Merethe has a deliciously listenable voice. Her delivery on these very well written introspective songs is really compelling. Written some time ago and released recently, these well-crafted tunes stand the test of time. Enjoy the music.

Paul Miles – Blue Collar Man: Paul accompanies himself with some well-honed guitar playing and sings of the everyman in this wonderful Detroit Blues based offering. With just the right amount of drums, harmonica and strings, this listen is a lot of fun. Play on.

Paint –Where We Are Today: Supremely lush rock arrangements move this offering along, and the razor sharp vocals don’t hurt either. Well-crafted pop mixed with an indie-rock feel, this music reminds you of what you wish there was more of on the radio. Tasty listens.

And worth a listen in my opinion…..

Don Braden / Karl Latham – Big Fun(k) Live : This is for you jazz / jazz-funk lovers out there. Big Fun(k) Live has some extremely well played and arranged cuts – great to listen to as background music while working or playing. Don (sax) is joined by Karl Latham (drums), Nick Rolfe on keyboards and Gary Foote (of Blood, Sweat and Tears) on bass. Sweet sounds.

TC Sargeant –Press in Closer : TC has a wonderfully magnetic sound. His voice draws you in and the CD has that perfect combination of good writing and great delivery. I have to tell you, if this is what the guy does for a debut effort, I’m going to be looking for more. Bravo mucho.

Ailsa Vilegas – Keep It This Way : Ailsa has a very engaging voice, and coupled with her very simple arrangements and tasteful harmonies make this CD a must have. Finding artists like these who seem to be able to effortlessly weave memorable lyrical and musical tapestries make what I do so much fun….mostly because I am then able to share the find with you. Listen on.

And worth a listen in my opinion…..

Sunday Best – Swinging Steaks : It’s guys like this that make my job easy – - acoustic rock with plenty of fun and great vocals included, this group reminds you that there are still groups out there that sound like they’ve been together forever yet still sound young. Worth a listen.

The Piano Guys, John Schmidt & Steven Sharp Nelson – Hits, Vol. 1 : Okay, the title is a little long, but trust me, the musicianship on this instrumental pop album is well worth your time. These guys know how to arrange and deliver the goods. A great addition. Listen up.

Michael Locke & The Repeat Offenders – Pleasure King : For your enjoyment, have a heapin’ helping of some of the best electric blues players you’ll ever hear – The piano playing on the title cut hooked me right away, and it just gets better from there. Enjoy much.
